SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL

What is SAC?

SAC consists of the principal, parents, teachers, education support personnel, other business and community citizens. At least 51 % of SAC shall be parents and community representatives not employed by the school. Elected members serve for a period of 2 years. Appointed members shall serve on SAC for a period of 1 year.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Approve bylaws that govern how SAC business is conducted.

  • Assist in preparation of school's annual budget.

  • Decide how to spend the SAC funds to meet the school improvement goals.

  • Examine all aspects of the school when developing SIP

  • Approve submitting all charter district waivers for school board approval. Decide jointly with school staff how to spend FL

  • School Recognition funds if awarded by the State.

  • Determine and prioritize the needs of the school.

Meeting Dates

All SAC meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00pm in the school library.
